Two people, two cultures, two teenagers, two cats, one life lived in between — welcome to our world in Cape Town.

We’re a husband and wife duo — one (mostly) American, one (mostly) South African — raising two teenagers and living between cultures in Cape Town.

What (in a nutshell)

This podcast is simply a place for honest conversations about how we live, and why.

We talk about things like:

  • Homebirth
  • Expat life
  • Raising kids across borders
  • Creative living
  • Alternative healing
  • Alternative education
  • What it means to build a life that feels true — even if it doesn’t look typical! — without it being”cliche”!

Why

Why we’re hitting record—and what you can expect:

We’ve started a podcast — not because the world needs more noise, but because we wanted a place for honest, spacious conversations about the way we live.

We’re a couple living overseas, raising kids across cultures, navigating creativity, partnership, parenting, alternative education, and what it means to live intentionally in a chaotic world.

We’ve had homebirths. We send our kids to nontraditional schools. We’ve built a life full of risks and beauty, art and mess, and we’re learning out loud as we go.

This podcast is part reflection, part conversation, part field note.

Sometimes it will be both of us talking. Sometimes one of us. Sometimes we might bring in voices from our community. But always, it’ll be real.
